Company activities

Some licensed or specially regulated activities may require premises that meet additional site requirements. A registration address is therefore not automatically suitable for every business. See the license route for permit-driven site requirements.

District and location

District rules differ. A premises accepted in one part of Shanghai is not automatically accepted in another.

Later address changes

If the company’s registered address changes, change registration is generally required within the statutory time limit. Cross-jurisdiction address changes require additional procedures before moving to the new registered address.

Do I need to rent a physical office to register a company in Shanghai?

What is a centralized registration address?

Can I use my own office as the registered address?

What if my company is already registered and needs a new address?

If the company's registered address changes, change registration is generally required within the statutory time limit. Under the current market-subject registration rules, changes to registered matters generally need to be filed within 30 days of the relevant decision or change. Cross-jurisdiction address changes have additional requirements. YOUYI can coordinate the filing and does not promise an approval time.
